QPR made it six Championship wins out of seven with an impressive 2-1 victory over high-flying AFC Bournemouth at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

The Hoops went ahead when Stefan Johansen pounced on Chris Mepham’s loose pass before Shane Long brought Bournemouth level 11 minutes later.

But Todd Kane netted with seven minutes remaining after good work from Albert Adomah to seal a fourth consecutive victory.

Meanwhile, Millwall extended their unbeaten league run to eight games after a 0-0 draw with Wycombe Wanderers at The Den.

Gary Rowett’s side came closest to taking all three points through Scott Malone’s second-half strike but David Stockdale, back in the Wycombe goal after an emergency loan at Stevenage, ensured it ended goalless.

And in the early encounter, second-placed Brentford, without 24-goal injured striker Ivan Toney, suffered a third consecutive league defeat with a 2-0 loss away to Coventry City.

Tyler Walker scored in each half, the first from the penalty spot, to move the Sky Blues five points clear of the bottom three.

In League One, Charlton Athletic had to settle for a point with a 1-1 draw away to Fleetwood Town.

The Addicks opened the scoring after just six minutes when Andrew Shinnie clipped a cross in for Jayden Stockley, who dived in to head home his third goal in four games.

However, Fleetwood levelled three minutes before the break when Mark Duffy dragged a low ball back into Paddy Madden’s path.

Elsewhere, AFC Wimbledon are back in the bottom four after a crushing 3-0 defeat away at Peterborough United.

Two goals in the space of three minutes in the second period from Sammie Szmodics did the damage before Jonson Clarke-Harris rounded off the scoring late on.

And in League Two, Leyton Orient came from behind to draw 1-1 with Port Vale at Brisbane Road.

David Worrall gave Vale the lead early in the second-half with Daniel Kemp equalising just after the hour mark.
