Dagenham & Redbridge had their FA Cup dreams shattered as they lost 2-1 to League Two side Mansfield Town after Extra-Time at Field Mill.
The National League side opened the scoring in the 19th minute after Paul McCallum got away from Ryan Sweeney to smash home a superb finish from a tight angle.
But Mansfield were level six minutes later as Jordan Bowery powered down the left before finding Harry Charsley square to sidefoot home.
And after an end-to-end 90 minutes, it looked as though the Daggers were set to hold out for penalties before Nicky Maynard struck with almost the last kick of Extra-Time.
However, there was a shock at AFC Wimbledon as the Dons lost 2-1 to League Two side Crawley Town in the first FA Cup game back at Plough Lane.
The deadlock was broken just past the 20-minute mark as Joe Pigott opened the scoring for the hosts before Ashley Nadesan equalised eight minutes later.
And Crawley’s winner came soon after the restart as AFC Wimbledon failed to clear their lines with the ball eventually falling to Max Watters to fire home.
There was disappointment for National League side Barnet as well – losing 1-0 to League One side MK Dons at The Hive.
Substitute Cameron Jerome scored an 82nd minute winner in a scrappy encounter which also saw Regan Poole’s volley for MK cannon off the underside of the crossbar in the first-half.
