A spectacular second-half collapse saw Brentford throw away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 against Preston North End at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Ivan Toney’s double put the Bees into a comfortable lead at half-time before Scott Sinclair began the recovery seven minutes after the interval and then equalised on the hour.
Brad Potts added another to give Preston the lead three minutes later with Sean Maguire rounding off the comeback with a fourth in the 70th minute.
In Saturday’s action, new signing Macauley Bonne scored in stoppage time to earn QPR a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday.
Yoann Barbet’s own goal gave the hosts the lead before Bonne’s leveller in the sixth minute of added time at Hillsborough.
It was less positive for Millwall on the road though, who fell to a 2-1 defeat to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium
Jake Bidwell broke the deadlock for the Swans in the early stages of the second-half, neatly converting Morgan Gibbs-White’s deep cross, but Millwall were swiftly back on level terms through Tom Bradshaw’s strike.
However, Swansea grabbed the winner in the 68th minute when Ben Cabango finally converted following a scramble in the box.

In League One Charlton Athletic could only muster a 0-0 draw against 10 man Sunderland at The Valley.
Tom Flanagan was dismissed in the 73rd minute in a game the visitors dominated without taking any of a host of chances.
Meanwhile, AFC Wimbledon fell to their first league defeat of the season as Accrington Stanley came from behind to win 2-1 at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Ross Sykes and Matt Butcher scored within four minutes of each other after Ryan Longman had put the Dons ahead.
And finally, a Covid-hit Leyton Orient lost 2-0 to a well-drilled Cheltenham Town side at Brisbane Road.
First-half goals from George Lloyd and Finn Azaz did the damage to an O’s side who had been unable to properly prepare in the run-up due to a coronavirus outbreak in the squad.
