Brentford stretched their winning streak to three league games with an impressive 3-1 victory over West London rivals QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation stadium.

Ollie Watkins opened the scoring for the Bees in the 23rd minute, drifting away from QPR centre-backs Grant Hall and Toni Leistner to head home Bryan Mbeumo’s right-wing cross.

Hall atoned for his defensive lapse to bring the Hoops level three minutes into the second half, heading home Ebere Eze’s corner from close range.

But with the game finely poised, Said Benrahma put Brentford back in front with a penalty just before the hour mark after Josh Scowen was controversially adjudged to have fouled Mbeumo.

And as QPR pushed forward for an equaliser, Watkins sealed the Bees’ win in the final seconds, slotting home with ease after being teed up by Mathias Jensen.

The result moves Brentford up to 12th in the table, two points behind QPR who lie in eighth.
