Second-half goals from Matty Stevens and Ruel Sotiriou ensured the spoils were shared as Leyton Orient and Forest Green Rovers played out a 1-1 draw at Brisbane Road.
Following consecutive goalless draws at home, Orient started the game with an improved tempo.
However, it was the visitors who had the standout chance of an even first-half when Hector Kyprianou was forced to clear Matty Stevens’ effort off the line.
The second period started in an even vein, but it was the league leaders who broke the deadlock when Stevens powerfully headed home Ben Stevenson’s corner in the 68th minute.
Orient responded well and were level eight minutes later when substitute Sotiriou fired home a pinpoint finish into the far bottom corner after being released down the right by Dan Kemp.
And the O’s could have snatched it late on when Omar Beckles was denied by an excellent instinctive save from Forest Green Rovers keeper Luke McGee.

Christopher Pollard (Suffolk) – the home fans will be happy he didn’t believe that Omar Beckles’ first-half handball was worthy of a penalty, but it was arguably cancelled out by a questionable corner for Forest Green’s opener.

An improved performance from Saturday’s goalless draw against Walsall but Kenny Jackett’s O’s still have a little way off their impressive early season form.
