Fulham returned to the top of the Championship with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Birmingham City at St. Andrew’s.
The Cottagers always looked in charge of the contest and two goals in each half backed up a dominant display.
Denis Odoi opened the scoring with a tenth minute header and Aleksander Mitrovic’s 44th minute penalty doubled Fulham’s advantage.
Harry Wilson made it three with a clinical finish in the 54th minute and Mitrovic got his second of the game before Troy Deeney claimed a late Birmingham consolation from the penalty spot.
Meanwhile, Millwall claimed their second successive away draw in a week with a goalless stalemate against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
In a game lacking any real cutting edge, Millwall keeper Bartosz Bialkowski denied Liam Walsh’s 90th minute free-kick to ensure a share of the spoils.
In Tuesday night’s games, QPR fell to their first Championship defeat of the season with a 2-1 loss away to AFC Bournemouth.
The hosts took the lead after 12 minutes when Jaidon Anthony dispossessed QPR centre-back Rob Dickie to fire home.
And it was 2-0 before the break when Anthony picked out Dominic Solanke inside the area and the forward found the net.
Sam McCallum pulled one back after the interval for the Hoops but they could not find an equaliser.
And in League Two, Sutton United secured back-to-back league wins with a 1-0 victory over Hartlepool at Gander Green Lane.
Defender Ben Goodliffe scored the only goal of the game, bundling the ball home at the back post in the first-half.
