Brentford clawed their way to a 1-1 draw against an impressive Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Huddersfield opened the scoring after only seven minutes, pressurising Brentford’s defence into giving the ball away with Lewis O’Brien firing past a scrambling David Raya.
Brentford should then have had a penalty on 26 minutes as Naby Sarr handled the ball after a lofted pass upfields, but the appeals were waved away by referee Oliver Langford.
However, the Bees did get themselves back into the game at the start of the second-half through Mads Bech Sorensen.
A goal-line clearance from Sarr fell kindly to Vitaly Janlet, whose low cross was finished off by the Danish defender after 50 minutes.
Ivan Toney nearly found a second a minute later, but his driven effort careened back off the post to keep the game level.
The result sees Brentford move up to third, now nine points off second placed Watford with eight games left to play.
