Millwall and Championship leaders Norwich City played out an entertaining 0-0 draw at The Den as the Lions made it four unbeaten in the league.

Both sides had early half chances with the Lions’ best effort of the half falling to Scott Malone after brilliant work from Kenneth Zohore, only to see his shot well-saved.

Norwich should have taken the lead in first-half stoppage time when Teemu Pukki was released but his first effort was brilliantly blocked by Shaun Hutchinson before being denied with the follow-up by a comfortable Bartosz Bialkowski save.

The second period saw Zohore and Malone link up again just past the hour mark but the former could only head over from the latter’s cross.

Malone then had another good chance with just under 15 to play when Jed Wallace’s blocked effort fell to him in the box, but he could only shoot wide.

And after Hutchinson had a penalty claim waved away, Wallace had a chance to win it at the death with Norwich keeper Tim Krul off his line but the forward’s shot from the halfway line curled agonisingly wide.

Key Points

Check out all the key talking points and reaction from London Football Scene below…

Key Moment

Shaun Hutchinson appeared to be fouled in the box in the 90th minute but nothing was given.

Moan of the Match

Millwall have to convert their chances when they’re on top, which has been an issue all season.

Talking Point

This intensity has been lacking in recent Millwall performances, especially at The Den – how can they replicate it in future?

Man of the Match

Kenneth Zohore – caused Grant Hanley all sorts of problems and linked-up well with his teammates on a number of occasions to create good opportunities.

Tweet of the Match

Referee Watch

Stephen Martin (Staffordshire) – generally fair, though Millwall should have had a penalty late on.

Atmosphere

Both teams wanted a result badly and it made for an entertaining affair in SE16.

Verdict

Millwall were good value for their point and may have even won this game had there been fans bringing the added ferocity at The Den.
