QPR are out of this season’s FA Cup after losing 2-0 in extra-time to Premier League side Fulham at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
In a bright start for the visitors, Joe Bryan nearly caught QPR keeper Seny Dieng off his line with a 40-yard effort while a heroic block from Yoann Barbet denied Aleksander Mitrovic.
However, QPR could have taken a lead into half-time if it wasn’t for a superb Marek Rodak save to deny a Bright Osayi-Samuel rocket.
Fulham continued to dominate in the second period as Barbet once again cleared a second Mitrovic effort off the line just after the hour mark.
At the other end, Macauley Bonne scuffed his effort while Lyndon Dykes also came close twice before the game went to extra-time.
The Cottagers looked a different proposition in the additional 30 and duly broke the deadlock in the 104th minute when Mitrovic rolled the ball to Bobby Decordova-Reid to slam the ball home from outside the box.
And substitute Neeskens Kebano made sure of the win with a second – firing the ball into the top right corner to send Fulham into the Fourth Round.
