Brentford are now 15 games unbeaten after a Sergi Canos second-half hat-trick saw them beat Cardiff City 3-2 in South Wales.

The hosts opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time when Will Vaulks scored from inside his own half.

However, Canos levelled for Brentford five minutes after the interval with an excellent effort of his own and added a second in the 65th minute.

And the Spaniard completed his hat-trick 17 minutes from time before Vaulks reduced the deficit three minutes later.

Elsewhere, QPR are now eight games without a win after losing 2-0 to Swansea City at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Andre Ayew opened the scoring a minute before the break with Jamal Lowe doubling Swansea’s lead nine minutes into the second-half.

In League One, Charlton Athletic came from behind twice to salvage a point with a 2-2 draw at home to Plymouth Argyle.

Luke Jephcott’s first-half double had put the visitors on course for an away victory, but Marcus Maddison levelled in the 67th-minute to add to Chris Gunter’s earlier strike.

Meanwhile, AFC Wimbledon fell to a 2-0 defeat away to Oxford United with the damage being done in the opening period.

And in League Two, Leyton Orient lost 2-1 at Cambridge United – despite Danny Johnson’s 16th goal of the season putting the O’s ahead.

Wes Hoolahan equalised 10 minutes after the interval with Paul Mullin finding a winner two minutes later.
