Brentford stretched their unbeaten Championship run to four games with a lacklustre 0-0 draw at home to Middlesbrough.
Both sides had chances but wayward finishing and two resolute defences meant a stalemate was the fairest outcome.
Millwall also played out a goalless draw away to strugglers Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
The hosts had chances to win the game in a frenetic five minute second-half spell with Millwall keeper Bart Bialkowski saving twice from Adam Reach and also denying Joey Pelupessy.
At the other end, Shaun Hutchinson wasted Millwall’s best chance shortly after the break, with a free header that powered over the bar.

And QPR’s recent winning run came to an abrupt end with a 3-1 defeat away to Blackburn Rovers.
Ben Brereton’s smart finish put Rovers ahead just after the break before Lyndon Dykes equalised from the penalty spot.
But Adam Armstrong’s double ensured all three points remained in East Lancashire.
