A below-strength Brentford dumped Premier League side Southampton out of the Carabao Cup with a surprise 2-0 win at St Mary’s.
The Bees’ preparation for the game was severely hampered by an unnamed player testing positive for coronavirus following a B team fixture on Monday.
With some squad players forced to self-isolate, Brentford boss Thomas Frank made six changes for the south-coast clash with only five able to be named on the substitutes bench.
Nevertheless, quickfire first-half goals from Christian Norgaard and Josh Dasilva upset a full-strength Saints side to book a Third Round trip to West Bromwich Albion.
In Tuesday’s games, West Ham United claimed South London bragging rights over Charlton Athletic with a 3-0 victory at the London Stadium.
The Hammers’ record signing Sebastien Haller struck twice in four first-half minutes with Felipe Anderson adding a third late on.
Meanwhile, Millwall reached the Third Round for just the second time since 2011 after Matt Smith rounded off a comfortable 3-1 victory over Cheltenham Town.
The striker tapped home on the hour to wrap up the contest with Millwall now facing either Burnley or Sheffield United at The Den next week.
Ryan Leonard fired home superbly to give the Lions an early lead, Connor Mahoney doubling the advantage just after the break and Cheltenham’s Finn Azaz claiming a 69th minute consolation.

Elsewhere, a late goal by substitute Danny Johnson earned Leyton Orient a 3-2 win over Plymouth to set-up a mouthwatering home tie against Premier League giants Tottenham.
Plymouth raced into a two goal first-half lead through Panutche Camara and Kelland Watts before Orient’s Louis Dennis reduced the deficit after 55 minutes.
The O’s then equalised on 74 minutes when Jobi McAnuff found himself one on one with the keeper and lobbed the ball into the net before Johnson struck the winner in the third minute of injury time.
