Charlton Athletic are out of the Carabao Cup after losing 3-0 to Premier League side West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Sebastian Haller put the Hammers ahead after 22 minutes, following a flying run from Andriy Yarmolenko down the left hand side.

The Frenchman then doubled West Ham’s lead four minutes later heading home a brilliant cross from Robert Snodgrass.

However Charlton regrouped at the interval and looked re-energised at the start of the second period with Jonny Williams’ low volley testing Darren Randolph in the West Ham goal in the 50th minute.

But Lee Bowyer’s side began to deflate as the game wore on and Felipe Anderson wrapped up the win 11 minutes from time after good work from Manuel Lanzini.
