Millwall ended their Championship season with a 4-1 win over strugglers Huddersfield Town at The Den.
The Lions took a fourth minute lead through Connor Mahoney’s superb finish past Joel Coleman before former Charlton Athletic striker Karlan Grant equalised in the 36th minute.
Millwall started the second-half quickly with Jake Cooper heading in from a set-piece two minutes after the interval before Jiri Skalak extended the lead in the 63rd minute with a smart left-footed finish.
The Lions were largely dominant in the second period barring one Andy King chance on the rebound after Karlan Grant’s initial effort was well saved by Bartosz Bialkowski.
However, it was the Lions who had chances to extend their lead in the final moments as Matt Smith saw an effort well saved by Coleman after Jon Dadi Bodvarsson headed across the box.
Bodvarsson then added a fourth late on from close range to help the Lions to a more than commendable eighth placed finish.
