Brentford were forced to settle for a point after playing out a 1-1 draw against fellow promotion rivals Leeds United at Griffin Park.
In tight early exchanges, the first major opportunity fell to the Bees as Christian Norgaard saw a strike go inches wide in the 24th minute.
However, a minute later they were gifted an opener as Leeds stopper Kiko Casilla scuffed an easy clearance to allow Said Benrahma to slot home into an empty net.
But Leeds restored parity 13 minutes later as Brentford keeper David Raya failed to deal with a corner with the ball dropping kindly to Liam Cooper to level.
The start of the second-half saw chances for both sides with Rico Henry stopping a Leeds counter before the subsequent clearance almost caught out Casilla once again, with the Spaniard this time able to gather.
Leeds began to turn the screw as the game progressed but came up against a resolute Brentford backline with the result leaving the Play-Off picture still finely poised.
