Brentford stormed to the brink of the Play-Off places with an emphatic 7-0 thrashing of Luton Town at Griffin Park.
The Bees bounced back from their disappointing mid-week loss at Blackburn Rovers and led 5-0 at half-time with goals from Bryan Mbeumo, Ollie Watkins, Mathias Jensen and Josh Dasilva’s double.
Said Benrahma made it 6-0 from the penalty spot in the 71st minute before Dasilva completed his hat-trick with another spot-kick in the 87th minute.
Elsewhere, Millwall boss Gary Rowett was denied a winning return to St. Andrew’s as the Lions were held to a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.
Shaun Williams’ spectacular 30-yard strike in the 61st minute was cancelled out by Jake Clarke-Salter’s header 11 minutes from time.
Meanwhile, QPR’s winless run now stands at seven league games despite claiming a 1-1 draw away at Derby County.
Martyn Waghorn’s free-kick put Derby ahead but the striker then gave away a penalty that Eberechi Eze converted at the end of the first half.
