Meanwhile, Brentford recorded their fifth win from their last six games with a 1-0 home win over Reading.
Ollie Watkins’ well-taken 62nd minute header was his 11th goal of the campaign and moves the Bees closer to the Play-Off places.
In the day’s early game, Charlton Athletic were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Cardiff City in Neil Harris’ first game in charge of the Bluebirds.
Conor Gallagher and Jonathan Leko had the Addicks 2-0 up before the break but Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Lee Tomlin turned things around after it.
In League One, AFC Wimbledon moved further away from the drop zone as Scott Wagstaff’s first-half goal against former club Gillingham earned the Dons a 1-0 win at Kingsmeadow.
