AFC Wimbledon are still searching for their first league win of the season after a hard-fought goalless draw with Wycombe Wanderers at Kingsmeadow.
The first-half saw a game of few chances, the best arguably falling to Wimbledon’s Nesta Guinness-Walker who saw his effort well saved by Wycombe keeper Ryan Allsop.
It was a similar story at the start of the second period before the visitors should have taken the lead on the hour mark as Adebayo Akinfenwa’s close range effort went narrowly wide.
The Wycombe forward did find the back of the net ten minutes later, firing home a rebound from Nick Freeman’s effort, only to see it ruled out for offside.
Freeman then went close late on for Wycombe, curling an effort around the post as both sides looked to snatch a late winner but ultimately it was a day for defences to come out on top.
