Charlton Athletic maintained their unbeaten start to the season but were left frustrated by a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest at The Valley.
Albert Adomah’s equaliser 12 minutes from time cancelled out Lyle Taylor’s early strike in a game the Addicks dominated for large parts.
The first-half saw Naby Sarr rattle the post with a header before Conor Gallagher’s close-range effort forced Forest keeper Arijanet Muric into a fine save.
Charlton’s goal was no more than their dominance deserved, a slick build up involving 22 passes ended with Jonathan Leko’s cross being glanced home by Lyle Taylor.
Yet despite Charlton’s dominance, Tom Lockyer was forced into a last ditch challenge on Lewis Grabban as the Forest forward shaped to shoot just before the interval.
The Addicks continued to dominate the second period and should have extended their lead just shy of the hour mark with Leko squandering a golden opportunity from Taylor’s inviting cross.
And Forest were to punish Charlton’s wastefulness as Adomah smashed in a loose ball from a 78th minute corner to level the game and ensure honours even.
