AFC Wimbledon earned another vital point in their battle against League One relegation with a goalless draw against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

Despite the hosts dominating for the majority of the encounter, the Dons had an early opportunity to break the deadlock when James Hanson headed over when well placed.

That was the closest Wimbledon got in the first-half as Dons keeper Aaron Ramsdale saved well from Luke Garbutt and a Cameron Brannagan effort hit the post.

The second period saw more of the same with Ramsdale once again in impressive form to deny Jamie Mackie and Gavin Whyte driving an effort over the bar from 15 yards out.

The draw leaves Wimbledon in the bottom four but crucially just a point behind Rochdale and Scunthorpe above them.
