Millwall and QPR played a goalless London derby on a cold Wednesday night at The Den.
With both sides struggling at the wrong end of the table, the encounter was a drab affair with the visitors arguably having the better of the chances.
QPR started the brighter as Luke Freeman’s second minute cross found Matt Smith whose volley was well saved by David Martin in the Millwall goal.
Then, on the stroke of half-time, Smith had a header cleared off the line by Jake Cooper as the QPR forward’s aerial presence continued to cause the Lions problems.
The second period saw Millwall have their own effort go agonisingly close – Ryan Manning clearing Alex Pearce’s goal-bound header.
And Hoops forward Bright Osayi-Samuel could have sealed the win late on but for the quick reactions of Martin, with Manning curling the rebound wide.
The result leaves both sides outside of the relegation zone with other results on the night going in their favour.
