A below-par Brentford fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
The Bees found themselves 1-0 down after just 32 seconds when Daniel James capitalised on a poor Mads Bech Sorensen backpass, allowing Nathan Dyer a simple tap-in .
Swansea’s James then saw an effort rebound off the crossbar before Kristoffer Nordfeldt’s long goal-kick upfield gave Dyer his and the Swans’ second of the night on 34th minutes.
As half-time approached, Bersant Celina hit the crossbar for the hosts in what was a woeful opening 45 minutes for Brentford.
Although the Bees did improve after the interval with Said Benrahma having a rare sight of goal, Swansea were still well in control of proceedings.
And James added Swansea’s third in the 78th minute, reacting quickest to Connor Roberts’ effort which had struck the post, to compound Brentford’s miserable night.
