QPR fell to a frustrating 2-1 Loftus Road defeat to fellow Championship strugglers Bolton Wanderers.
The Hoops dominated the opening exchanges with Josh Scowen’s effort hitting the post mid-way through the first-half.
However it was Bolton who took a shock 35th minute lead when QPR keeper Joe Lumley could only parry Josh Magennis’ header with Will Buckley on hand to fire home the rebound.
And the visitors nearly doubled their advantage in the 67th minute as a Buckley effort blasted against the crossbar.
But they weren’t denied for too long as another parry by Lumley presented the ball to Callum Connolly to make it 2-0 with 19 minutes remaining.
A left-footed strike from Nahki Wells did give the Hoops some hope of salvaging a draw but it was to no avail.
The defeat means QPR have won just once in the league since Boxing Day, a run which has seen them lose 11 of their past 14, and not completely safe from relegation.
