A Lyle Taylor strike was enough to give Charlton Athletic a hard fought-win over bottom side Bradford City at the Valley.
The only goal of the game came in the 19th minute when Joe Aribo found Taylor in space, with the striker firing low past Bantams stopper Richard O’Donnell.
The Addicks should have doubled their advantage three minutes later when Taylor squared for Igor Vetokele only for O’Donnell to pull off an excellent point-blank save.
Taylor’s curled strike just past the half-hour mark then hit the post while he squandered another effort over the bar from six yards out.
At the other end, Jacob Butterfield dallied when presented with a decent opportunity while David Ball hit the post early in the second-half.
The result consolidates Charlton’s place in the League One Play-Offs, now seven points ahead of sixth placed Doncaster Rovers with a game in hand on their rivals.
