Two goals either side of half-time from Steven Fletcher saw in-form Brentford fall to a 2-0 defeat away to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Bees went into the clash having won five out of their previous six league games, including a 5-1 humbling of Hull City on Saturday.
However the hosts dominated the majority of the first-half and eventually broke the deadlock in the 41st minute – Fletcher finishing well after receiving an exquisite pass from Barry Bannan.
Wednesday then extended their lead three minutes into the second period as Fletcher met Adam Reach’s cross with a downward header at the far post.
Said Benrahma had a handful of chances to halve the deficit while the Owls could have extended their lead as Bees keeper Daniel Bentley saved well from an on-rushing Rolando Aarons.
The result leaves Brentford 16th in the table while Sheffield Wednesday go up to 12th.
