Millwall fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat away to Hull City in front of a sparse KCOM Stadium crowd of just over 10,000.
Having started slowly in their weekend defeat to Preston North End, Neil Harris’ side once again found themselves behind after just eight minutes.
Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring with a faint touch to Markus Henriksen’s shot before Millwall’s Shaun Hutchinson levelled the score with a close-range finish (34).
However Marc Pugh restored the hosts’ lead three minutes before half-time with a shot low from around eight yards.
The Lions started the second period brightly with Jed Wallace coming close and Hull keeper David Marshall saving well from a Ryan Tunnicliffe effort.
At the other end, a Kamil Grosicki effort hit the post and bounced off Millwall stopper Jordan Archer before Bowen shot just wide as Hull pressed for a third.
And despite Bowen clearing a Jake Cooper header off the line late on, Hull hung on to secure all three points.
