QPR conceded a stoppage time goal to lose 3-2 to West Bromwich Albion in a pulsating match at Loftus Road.

Despite Luke Freeman and Tomer Hemed scoring to peg the Baggies back twice, Jake Livermore steered home a 94th minute winner to stretch the Hoops’ winless run to six league games.

The visitors opened the scoring after just five minutes through Jefferson Montero before the ever-impressive Freeman rifled home an equaliser in the 35th.

QPR began the second period positively before Joel Lynch’s poor header enabled Jacob Murphy to arrow a shot into the far corner and restore Albion’s lead.

Yet with 15 minutes left, substitute Hemed levelled the scores for a second time, tucking away a penalty after being brought down in the box by Craig Dawson.

With Freeman then forced off with an injury and QPR already making all three substitutions, the Baggies pushed forward in search of a winner – with Livermore’s strike sealing victory at the death.

Key Moment

Jake Livermore’s last minute strike, stroking the ball home to leave the R’s with nothing to show for another good performance.

Moan of the Match

The Hoops lack of concentration in the opening half-an-hour led to a sloppy passage of play which fortunately Albion failed to capitalise from.

Talking Point

Is there a hint of a mentality problem within the team after more last minute agony?

Man of the Match

Luke Freeman – Every spark of creativity and magic came via the midfielder with the Hoops offering little without his input.

Tweet of the Match

Referee Watch

John Brooks (Leicestershire) – A poor night for the middle man which included a few dubious decisions before a contentious penalty was handed to the home side.

Atmosphere

It was fairly low key for the majority of the clash before picking up with the excitement of the last 15 minutes.

Verdict

It’s QPR’s sixth league defeat in a row – they need to start to get some points on board soon before panic could potentially creep in.
