George Byers’ 43rd-minute strike paved the way for Swansea City to complete a first league double over Millwall since 1929-30.
It was a well-taken strike from the midfielder who fired into the top corner after seeing an initial effort blocked by Shaun Hutchinson.
Millwall created half-chances of their own in the opening period but failed to convert; Shaun Hutchinson heading a free-kick across goal while Jed Wallace saw his volley saved in the second period.
The hosts could have had a penalty late on for a potential foul by Jake Cooper on Oliver McBurnie before Millwall keeper Jordan Archer was lucky not to see red after fouling Daniel James.
And as Millwall searched for an equaliser, Cooper put a stoppage-time effort wide from close range meaning the Lions’ winless run now stretches to four league games.

Swansea’s goal coming just before the interval changed both managers’ team talks.

Millwall’s crossing was not at its best and they shouldn’t play as many long balls to an isolated Lee Gregory upfront.

Should Jordan Archer have seen red for his challenge on Daniel James?
Man of the Match
Bersant Celina – constantly caused the Lions defence problems with his trickery and passing.
Tweet of the Match

Kevin Friend (Leicestershire) – Generally looked to let the play flow and didn’t have a bad game.
Atmosphere
Millwall fans made all the noise early on and, bar one section of the Swansea crowd, the home fans were quiet.
Verdict
The Lions, despite their possession, failed to do well enough and their lack of cutting edge once again proved their downfall.
