The ‘Battle of the Bees’ saw Barnet and Brentford play out a thrilling six-goal FA Cup draw at the Hive.

Brentford dominated the first-half, twice hitting the post through Yoann Barbet and Moses Odubajo before Ollie Watkins broke the deadlock in the 40th minute.

However, Barnet replied emphatically after the interval with Shaq Coulthirst scoring twice in three minutes (50, 53) to put the National League side on course for a shock.

But the lead lasted just seven minutes as Neal Maupay levelled the scores with a controversial spot-kick – Watkins taking a tumble in the area without any contact from a Barnet defender.

Sergi Canos then made it 3-2 for Brentford before substitute Dan Sparkes’ stunning free-kick pulled Barnet right back into the contest.

Brentford then went in search of a winner, with Odubajo once again hitting the post but Barnet held out for a replay.

That will be played at Griffin Park on Tuesday, February 5th with a trip to Championship side Swansea City awaiting the winners.
