Brentford registered their first away win of the season with an impressive 4-2 victory over Rotherham United.

The Bees got off to the perfect start when Kamohelo Mokotjo opened the scoring as early as the second minute.

Rotherham responded well though and were level in the 20th – Jon Taylor capitalising on some poor defending to smash a fierce effort past Brentford keeper Daniel Bentley.

Bentley was then on hand to brilliantly deny a Clark Robertson header with Semi Ajayi inexplicably missing the rebound from two yards as half-time approached.

The second period saw the visitors in the ascendancy with Neal Maupay going close before Said Benrahma finished an exquisite five-man move to make it 2-1 to Brentford (53).

However, Rotherham once again found an equaliser, Ezri Konsa turning a cross into his own net in the 73rd minute before Mokotjo grabbed his second and Brentford’s third two minutes later.

And Maupay made sure of the points with five minutes to spare to extend Brentford’s unbeaten run to seven games.
