A second-half Jake Bidwell header gave QPR a 2-1 FA Cup victory over Championship league leaders Leeds United.
Despite Tyler Roberts hitting both posts in the opening 28 seconds, the R’s threatened on the counter with Aramide Oteh forcing Leeds stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell into a fine save in the early exchanges.
The hosts then took a deserved lead in the 22nd minute as Bidwell was brought down by Leif Davis in the box and Oteh slammed the resultant penalty coolly down the middle.
However, it didn’t take long for Leeds to peg the home side back as Aapo Halme poked home when Matt Ingram spilled Lewis Baker’s 30-yard free kick just two minutes later.
The second period saw Peacock-Farrell produce a stunning stretch and an equally good reflex save to keep the scores level before Bidwell’s 75th minute header sealed the win.
